The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach is currently accepting applicants for a Full-time Clerk 1 position in the Building Department. HOURS: 35 works/week. SALARY RANGE: $28,000 to $35,000.00. REQUIREMENTS: The applicant should possess the ability to work with SAAS programs performing data entry, fluent in Microsoft program such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, be detail oriented, and willing to work with the public regularly. The clerk will be working with the department staff to implement Borough’s Floodplain Development ordinance that involves several job skills such as helping property owners through the application online, application review, handling payments, and coordinating the inspection process, along with working at times to provide information about the program(s) at public events. The clerk will also be helping with the FEMA Community Rating System (CRS) process throughout the year. No prior municipal work knowledge is necessary, however knowledge of floodplain rules, construction code, and experience with zoning is a plus.
