The February 1, 2017 Regular meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Planning Board opened at 7:00 pm. The Clerk read the notice of compliance with the "Open Public Meetings Act. Present were Board members: Vice-Chair Russell, Mr. Ritchings, Chairman Ammirata, Councilman Migut, Mr. Liotta, Mr. Babbini and Ms. Villani
Absent: Mr. Sheehan, Ms. Devon and Mr. Paesano

Motion by councilman Migut, second by vice chair Russell to memorialize the minutes of January 7, 2017
In favor - Russell Liotta, Ammirata, Migut, Babbini and Villani
Opposed: None


Memorialization of Resolution

Motion by Councilman Migut, second by Mt. Liotta to memorialize the action and vote approving application #2017-397 of Padula Bldrs dba as DVLG, LLC – 509 -511 New York
Avenue – Block 39; Lots 5, 6 & 7
In favor: Liotta, Russell, Ammirata, Migut, Babbini and Villani
Opposed: None


For Review and recommendation-

Ordinance 2017-01 – An ordinance of the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach – Amending and Supplementing Chapter XIX of the Borough Code, “Development” at Section 19-7 et. Seq. Entitled “Definitions” and 19-11.14 © et. Seq. Entitled “encroachments”

Councilman Migut explained the updates to the ordinances. The Council wants to make it easier to include more “gingerbread” in the design of new homes.
On a motion by Councilman Migut to recommend support of Ordinance #2017-01 to Mayor and Council, second by Mr. Liotta

In favor: Ritchings, Liotta, Russell, Ammirata, Migut, Babbini and Villani

Opposed: None


Ordinance #2017-02 - An ordinance of the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach – Amending and Supplementing Chapter XIX of the Borough Code, “Development” at sections 19-7 et. Seq. Entitled “definitions” and 19-8.4 entitled “fences, walls, and site triangles” and 14-3.5 entitled “driveways” and 19-11.14 entitled “yards”.
The board discussed their concerns about having the bottom level of the house not covered and people utilizing the open space for storage.
Motion by vice chair Russell to recommend support of Ordinance 2017-02 to Mayor and Council with the recommendation that Section II (b) 3 be omitted with concerns of aesthetics and the space being utilized for storage, second by Councilman Migut.

In favor: Ritchings, Russell, Ammirata and Migut
Opposed: Liotta, Babbini and Villani
