Minutes

The March 2, 2016 Regular meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Planning Board opened at 7:00 pm. The Clerk read the notice of compliance with the "Open Public Meetings Act. Present were Board members Mr. Liotta, Mr. Dooley, Mr. Ritchings, Mr. Winter, Chairman Ammirata, Councilman Migut, Mr. Sheehan and Ms. Devon
Absent: Mr. Paesano and Mr. Corbally
Also present: Karen Mills, Dennis Galvin and Ray Savacool


Motion by Counciman Migut, second by Mr. Ritchings to memorialize the minutes of February 3, 2016

Application #2016-379 Findencio Lucero d/b/a Julia Mexican Restaurant 1308 Richmond Avenue Lot 24; Block 16.01 Applicant proposes to expand the existing restaurant use at this site.

John Jackson attorney for applicant stated that the applicant is looking to expand his restaurant into the adjoining space which is now a grocery store. The kitchen will not be expanded. Only internal renovations are proposed.
Findencio Lucero, applicant, sworn, stated that he is the owner of Don Julia Restaurant for four (4) years and it is a family business. The expansion will double the seating from forty (40) to eighty (80). He will be adding a rotisserie machine and a steam table. There are eight (8) employees on a busy evening. Trash is privately carted and stored in a rear dumpster. That dumpster is utilized by all businesses on that property. Ray Savacool stated that the business would require 20 parking spaces so a waiver/variance would be required. Employees park in rear of property. Existing signage will be utilized and in compliance with zoning requirements.
