Stress Relief for Sandy Victims
Ocean County Library partners with Family Success Center for Sandy victims
In its continuing effort to bring accurate and useful information and services to residents who were affected by Hurricane Sandy, Ocean County Library is teaming up with the Ocean County Family Success Center to provide stress relief workshops for families.
Those workshops include:
· “Fun-n-Fit Stress Reducing Activities for Children,” appropriate for ages 3 and up with the parents
· “Music and Move-it: Reducing Stress in a Home with Children,” appropriate for ages 3 and up with the parents
· “Recognizing and Addressing Stress in Children, a Family Event”
· “Shake It, Move It, Leave It!” 10 activities that will Reduce Stress as a Family.
The workshops are free, confidential, and open to anyone impacted by the storm, regardless of income level, employment status or age.

Tuesday May 6 10:30 a.m. @ Stafford: Music and Move It
Friday May 9 10:30 a.m. @ Upper Shores (Lavallette): Fun & Fit
Monday May 12 6:30 p.m. @ Brick: Recognizing and Addressing Stress in a home with Children
Tuesday May 27 6 p.m. @ Little Egg Harbor: Fun and Fit
Wednesday Jun 4 10:30 a.m. @ Upper Shores: Music and Move-it
Monday June 9 10 a.m. @ Brick: Fun and Fit
Tuesday June 10 6 p.m. @ Little Egg Harbor, program to be determined
Saturday June 14 10:30 a.m. @ Stafford: Shake It, Move It, Leave It!
Monday June 16 6:30 p.m. @ Toms River, program to be determined.
Additional programs are being planned for July.
In addition to the workshops, the Center also provides resources for job training, housing, finding a contractor, training about mold remediation and safety in rebuilding, and establishing yourself in a new community.
