New Ordinance update: Unamimous vote to modify exisiting ordinance by asking for a bond. Then, to create the new ordinance we will speak with opposing councilmen. Kitty will email out defeated ordinance to our committee and councilmen and certain members of the public: dave cavagnaro, etc and ask for feedback. Kris to reintroduce. Elaine will also speak with Dave about same. Elaine’s suggestion: post a bond ($400), and trees should be replantd in same districts. Kitty to ask Code Enforcement elaine petrillo to send a memo re: ordinance modification.

Endowment/ Paver project: 11 paver slated to be engraved and installed, using Wall Sand and Gravel, and Brick monuments. With the sold pavers, and previous donations; this Commission should have about $3,000 in our paver budget. Pavers should be getting engraved and installed within the month!Kitty to update

I think this includes reimbursement for ’09 conference. Also, I think that we are going to recieve $700 in settlement from a resident who needed to satisfy a Planing Board approval. Pete’s suggestion: request that fines collected be used for our bills.

7.Tree City USA: We will apply for this status, as we meet most of the eligibility requirements, including a per capita expense for trees (about $10,000, based upon a population of 5200), by adding all monies our town spends on trees (public workers hours, volunteer time etc), Sharon has this information. The per capita expense is within our FMP, so the info is available. (Total budget, divided by 5200 population).
