MISSION STATEMENT
The Environmental Commission has the responsibility to make recommendations regarding the local actions of its governing body, planning board, bd. of adjustment and bd. of health. A commission is the only body on the local level whose mission is to defend the natural systems - the threatened & endangered species, the air & water supply, the animals & plants that add richness to the community. The Commission’s job is to make sure the environment doesn’t get overlooked in the municipal decision-making process.
